Dr. James Strauss received his B.A. from Harvard University in 1968 and an M.D. from New York University School of Medicine, New York, New York, in 1972. He completed his internship in medicine at Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, in 1973. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in 1976. Dr. Strauss completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas, in 1979.
Dr. Strauss is a member of the Dallas County Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and Texas Society of Medical Oncology. In 2009 D Magazine elected Dr. Strauss as one of the best hematology oncologists in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Strauss serves as principal investigator for multiple clinical trials at Mary Crowley.
