Every Monday, since January 2008, W.W. Bruce has baked homemade cookies and delivered them to the patients and research staff at Mary Crowley Cancer Research.
He remembers how his wife, Ramona C. Bruce, enjoyed the warmth of these gestures when she came there as a patient. Ramona was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given a six weeks to live before coming to Mary Crowley. Much to their surprise, W.W. says “Mary Crowley gave me two and a half more years with my wife, and for that I will be eternally grateful.”
He continues made a difference.
