Eight year old Natalie Lyons raised money for Mary Crowley by swimming 1,050 yards during a swim-a-thon on February 19, 2012. Inspired by a jump rope marathon at her school in New Hampshire, Natalie wanted to honor her two grandfathers who had passed away from cancer in 2010. She created a sponsor sheet and informational hand-outs, then distributed them to her schoolmates and family to solicit pledge money for her swimming. Natalie raised an impressive $276 for the yards she swam! This just goes to show that Mary Crowley donors come in all ages and locations. Mary Crowley is so grateful to Natalie for helping us provide more cancer research trials to patients.
With donors like Natalie, we continue to stay true to our motto, “Hope Lives Here”.
She made a difference.
