Through her tireless efforts as a patient advocate, colon cancer patient Jodie Kline created a partnership between the Colon Cancer Alliance and Mary Crowley Cancer Research. In October 2009, Jodie helped to bring the first annual Undy Run/Walk to Dallas, Texas and established a Mary Crowley Team - the Mary Crowley Crawlers. This team continues to gather each year for the Undy Run/Walk in Jodie's memory and is comprised of Mary Crowley staff members, friends, and family. Since the team's inception, it has been one of the largest or the largest group at the event. A portion of the proceeds from the Dallas/Ft. Worth Undy Run/Walk benefit colon cancer patients at Mary Crowley.
Jodie’s legacy continues with the annual Jodie Kline award, and through the ongoing Community Health Partnership between the Colon CancerAlliance and Mary Crowley.
She made a difference.
