Eleven year-old Dannia Thorpe says she dreams of helping people. She bought supplies with her own money to make items that she could sell for Mary Crowley Cancer Research and raised $112.05! Dannia was also the recipient of the 2011 Kohl's Cares Award for her volunteer work at the Family Services Center in Frisco,Texas. Even at 11 years-of-age, and with other volunteer platforms, she realizes the importance of cancer research because her mother is currently a cancer patient at Mary Crowley. Dannia is outgoing, family oriented, loves sports, and her favorite book to read is the Bible.
She made a difference.
